Most readers will be aware that m2r Ltd have long been a highly visible presence at the front end of Cleanzine and a major contributor to the list of vacancies that appear each week on our Vacancies Page.

So it's nice when we get to hear of a story that proves just how well the relationship works.

At the end of November 2007 m2r Ltd owner Munir Mamujee took a call from a Director of Robert Scott & Sons, one of the country's leading distributors of cleaning products to the professional, wholesale and retail markets.

The company was looking for someone to fill a senior sales position, and having seen m2r on Cleanzine, contacted them as they felt confident that as cleaning industry specialists, their needs would be met.

Having scanned the list of current m2r candidates, it was decided after taking the job description and advising the client on the wording of the copy, that m2r should advertise the position via their usual channels as well as placing it on Cleanzine.

"Of all the applications that we received, the one that came to us from Cleanzine proved in fact to be the most suitable", says Munir, and just before Christmas the applicant was offered the job. He starts in February.

So both the client and the successful applicant came from Cleanzine.

"If not for Cleanzine the client wouldn't have contacted us. They were looking for an industry specialist and found us there. The applicant himself has said that he would not have phoned us if he had not had the confidence in m2r as an agency, the level of quality of the positions available and the client company's standing. Cleanzine, he felt, offered him that assurance.

"If employers advertise in local newspapers they rely upon the right candidate happening to pick the paper up. Usually the cost of advertising this way precludes repeat advertising for any great length of time, so the process is very much 'hit or miss'. The same is true of job boards, in that it relies on the job seeker going to that location. Or not. With Cleanzine, the issue appears in the reader's Inbox, and although it does rely upon them looking at it each week, it's so easy to scroll through in moments, or to click the Vacancies link, that the likelihood of finding the right candidate is very much increased.

"And m2r having been at the forefront of recruitment in Cleanzine for the past two years well appreciate that the people who read the e-zine are cleaning industry specific.

"Rather than doing all the hard work themselves, clients and candidates should know that if they come to m2r we'll do the work for them in finding the right match.
